This time Muzzarelli won The Best on Show Award in the important Annual Juried Show of the Anderson Arts Center on its 44th edition.
South Carolina 2019.
It should be noted that Aldo Muzzarelli had already won two important awards in previous editions of this event, however this time he won the first prize.
This same award had been won four years ago by the Venezuelan artist Yelitza Diaz who is the wife of Aldo Muzzarelli.
Congratulations to this great couple of Venezuelan artists.
The Anderson Arts Center was established in 1972 and its mission is to encourage the practice and appreciation of the arts among people living in South Carolina, becoming integral part to the economic, educational and cultural life of the Anderson community.

The Juried Art Show will open its doors to the public next April 5 and may be visited until May 16 at the Anderson Arts Center, located at 110 Federal Street, Anderson South Carolina. Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 pm.
Statement for Rain of Prejudice
"…I try to convey optimism through my paintings...to transform negatives into positives.
Within a society that is often hostile, the most vulnerable have to protect themselves from the constant attacks of intolerance, selfishness, racism, sexism and domestic violence...The best way to do this is to fight ignorance, laziness...to become aware and to fight for our ideals: to make the world a better place.
In this case, I present a teenage girl swinging during an anomalous rainfall which originates from rusty nails within the picture’s frame. A couple of rain drops are transformed into the chains that support the swing, and other drops slowly become a beautiful golden wall…"
